The China School Project: Earthquake Recovery

Following the devastating earthquake in China in 2008, Jones Lang LaSalle and LaSalle Investment Management established the China School Project. Offices and individual employees donated more than $150,000 to fund a recovery effort to help rebuild a school in Chengdu.

Located 80 km from Chengdu City, Chongzhou JinJiang Primary School will receive a library and sport facilities, including a soccer field, running track, and basketball courts. Amidst a busy schedule working on other projects, our Chengdu PDS team volunteered to manage the project. With completion targeted for September 2009, 620 students and 60 teachers can begin the new school year with new facilities.
